7 Days Explore “FAST” Telescope Tour

After breakfast, drive for about 2hrs to FAST (Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope), which is famous as the “Eye of Heaven”, a Chinese mega-science project to build the largest single dish radio telescope in the world. The FAST project began in 2011 and it achieved first light in September 2016. Take a shuttle bus (about 40minutes) to get to the platform for a bird view of the FAST. In this site, you may also choose to visit the International Experience Planetarium to experience the vivid sun galaxy around you. Lunch is arranged in a local restaurant during the tour. Then transfer back to hotel in Guiyang.

Notice:

• Passport is needed when purchasing entrance ticket.
• In order to minimum extra radio interferences with the telescope and for its accuracy in functions, cell phones, cameras, interphones and all sorts of unnecessary electronic devices are not allowed in the site. Visitors are requested to store them in deposit center once they arrive at the gate of this scenic area.
• To reduce human gathering inferences, 2000 persons is the maximum limitation of tourists it can accept each day.

After breakfast and check out the hotel in Guiyang, drive for around 2.5hrs to Kaili, the capital city of Guizhou, the Southeast Autonomous Prefecture of Miao & Dong people. Those Miao people who moved to America and Europe are known as Hmong people. Then drive to country to see the ancient way of paper–making and visit Boji Miao village.

On the way back, stop at Qingman Miao village to experience their daily life by visiting the local families. . We will have at rest and have lunch in this village. Meanwhile, you can appreciate Miao people’s typical architecture-Wooden stilt house.

Free at leisure for the rest of the day. If you are interested in local food, you could try the famous Sour Soup Fish Hotpot(on your own expense).

Qingman Short-Skirt Miao Village

In the morning, a short drive from Kaili along the Bala river will take us to Jidao Long-skirt Miao village. You will be deeply impressed by its traditional wooden houses and waterwheels. Hike in the village to explore more. Then drive to Datang Short-Skirt Miao village situated at the foot of Leigong Mountain. You will be greeted by its friendly villagers and drink the block way wine before entering the village. Its silver ornaments will leave you a deep impression. After lunch, continue our drive via Leigong Mountain to appreciate its mountainous landscape.

Jidao Long-Skirt Miao village

Accommodation:In Zhaoxing

After breakfast, drive for about 1.5hrs to Basha Miao village noted for men’s hair dresses and women’s shinning fabric costume from egg-white. Hike in this primitive village to experience its daily life with very little signs of modern influnce. Then visit Huanggang Dong village. In the afternoon, explore Zhaoxing-the largest Dong people’s village in China with more than 800 households and a population of 5000. It owns five drum towers symbolizing five different clans.

Basha Miao Village

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Accommodation: In Zhaoxing

Start your day with exploration of Tang An Dong village noted as an ecological museum. Hike from Tang An to Zhaoxing for about 2.5 hours. After lunch, continue to visit Jitang Dong village, famous for its' wooden drum pagodas with pure post and beam structure.

Zhaoxing Dong Village

After breakfast drive you to railway station for your train to next destination.
